At MossRehab, we understand that rehabilitation for multiple sclerosis (MS) is a lifelong journey, marked by ever-evolving levels of ability as you achieve milestones and set new goals. Serving the needs of individuals at every level of ability has inspired the extensive and growing number of programs we offer, including oMS Yoga.
About oMS Yoga at MossRehab
oMS Yoga helps people better manage the symptoms of MS. This free weekly program combines yoga and meditation
to awaken your potential, empower your confidence and inspire the possibility in your mind, body and spirit.
Free Weekly Classes Meet Your Exact Needs
Classes are convenient and meet in multiple locations, making it easy for you to fit them into your schedule. Even if you have never tried yoga before, you’ll appreciate that these classes work with your individual strength and ability. Sessions are 60 minutes long, led by Sherri Bittner, RYT500, a registered yoga teacher who specializes in meeting the needs of people with MS. She is assisted in class by Ryan Menard, DO, and Diane Menard.
To participate, please:
- Dress in loose, comfortable clothing.
- Bring a yoga mat if you have one, but we have them available for you to use as well.
- Bring water to keep you hydrated, ice packs or a fan
to help you stay cool.
- Eat a light snack and drink plenty of water two hours before class. Do not eat a heavy meal before class.
You will complete a waiver before you join your first class.
