Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation to expand services at Elkins Park campus

PHILADELPHIA  — As part of its commitment to deliver high quality, compassionate and equitable care, Jefferson Health will expand in-patient physical rehabilitation services at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation - Elkins Park. In addition, Jefferson Health - Elkins Park will transition acute care, surgical and the emergency room services to Jefferson Einstein Hospital and Jefferson Abington Hospital.

Beginning in June, in-patient rehabilitation patients at Jefferson Abington Hospital will begin receiving care at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation - Elkins Park, leveraging the world-class rehabilitation services provided there. The underutilized acute care, surgical and emergency services at Jefferson Health - Elkins Park and increased demand for physical rehabilitation services have created an opportunity to repurpose the Elkins Park campus to provide enhanced services. Forecasted growth for inpatient and outpatient physical rehabilitation services are expected to see significant growth over the next decade, both locally and nationally.
