A Disability Friendly Gingerbread House

As a way to get into the holiday spirit, and establish a little departmental rivalry, Einstein Healthcare Network is holding a gingerbread house decorating contest.
While all department entries are creative and unique, MossRehab's senior leadership decided to use the opportunity to show off some of the tools of their trade (all made from edible ingredients) resulting in a one-of-a-kind, accessible, edible MossRehab with a therapy gym.
Showcased in the gingerbread hospital are a chocolate bar ramp featuring the new accessible icon, a pretzel and cracker wheelchair, gumdrop barbells, gumball exercise balls, candy cane parallel bars and MossRehab's beloved facility dog, Pender, sculpted out of fondant.
"How fun it is to create some team spirit during the holiday season," said MossRehab Chief Medical Officer Alberto Esquenazi, MD, whose likeness was created and placed in the gingerbread therapy gym. "While planning the project, we decided to use the opportunity to showcase MossRehab, resulting in this model of our building exterior and treatment area."
Although voting for network bragging rights is being done by Einstein's employees, you can check out all of the candy-constructed creations and pick your favorite on the @EinsteinHealth and @MossRehab Facebook pages.
