One and a half day in-person experiential activity Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1, 2024 following the 6-week online program.

Description: Development of technologies to meet the needs of individuals with walking and lower extremity dysfunction is occurring at a dizzying pace. This raises challenges for clinicians, scientists and leaders to understand how best to utilize devices and how to promote knowledge translation and adoption of technology in the clinic.
The Moss-Magee Program in Advanced Application of Clinical Technologies for Lower Extremity is a seven-week program designed to prepare clinicians and rehabilitation clinical scientists to act as leaders and knowledge brokers in the use of rehabilitation technology and robotics for improving lower extremity impairment for adults with neurologic dysfunction.
The program will provide a small group learning atmosphere consisting of one recorded lecture, independent study, and six synchronous webinars. The didactic materials will conclude with one and a half days of case-based in-person experiential learning and will also highlight newer and developing technologies. Throughout the program, each participant will develop skills to evaluate and apply technology to patients based on evidence, patient characteristics and patient-specific treatment goals. They will develop a specific, individualized plan to structure and implement the application of technology within their own treatment setting and clinical care. Whether practicing in a large hospital system or an individual outpatient clinic, the program will help participants to tailor the learning experiences to their individualized setting and needs. Upon completion of the program, clinicians will have the tools to optimize their own practices in the use of technology in lower extremity rehabilitation, as well as act as knowledge brokers and clinical champions in its use.
Program faculty consists of experienced clinicians from Moss-Magee Rehabilitation including front-line clinicians as well as program coordinators and supervisors, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the stakeholders and personnel involved in establishing a successful technology program.

NOTE: Attendees can opt to complete the entire program of webinars, discussion groups and live content to receive the MMPAACT for LE certificate and CEUs, or they can complete the webinar portion for CEUs only.
Completion of all of the portions of the program including asynchronous lectures, live webinars, independent study activities, the 2 day in person content and testing will result in awarding of the MM-PAACT for LE Certificate.

Fee: $600 online and in person $450 online only
The content of this course relates directly to the provision of Physical Therapy Services as outlined in the Guide to Physical Therapy Practice Examination and Evaluation and Interventions. Content is consistent with post professional education.

Requirement for successful course completion:
Online, Independent Study and In-Person Attendance: Online attendance will be tracked and completion of an evaluation form and test will be required. Satisfactory completion of the continuing education units consists of monitored sign in and sign out forms and completion of a course feedback form that includes self-assessment of learning outcomes and full participation of demonstrations.
Online attendance and Independent Study (recorded lecture) only: Satisfactory completion of the continuing education units will consist of tracked attendance and completion of an evaluation form and test will be required.

Physical Therapy CEUs: Application has been submitted to the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
MossRehab is an approved provider of Physical Therapy through the New York State Education Department.
Thomas Jefferson University College of Rehabilitation Sciences is an approved provider of continuing education units for the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Sheila.Wallace@jefferson.edu. Requests received 7 days prior to course start will result in a full refund. Requests received 2 to 7 days prior to the course start will result in a non-refundable administration processing fee of $50. No shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the course start will be ineligible for a refund. If we have to cancel a course due to low enrollment, weather, or an emergency situation, you will be reimbursed the cost of registration. We are not responsible for any other costs associated with attending a conference. If you are on the waiting list of a course and do not get in, we will not charge your credit card; if you paid by check we will send the check back to you. In the event that a course is rescheduled we will provide you the option of applying the tuition towards the rescheduled course in lieu of a full refund.
Complaint Policy: Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation views complaints as an opportunity to improve. As an institution we are open to feedback from staff, course participants, speakers, and patients/clients. Course participants and speakers are asked to notify course coordinators of any urgent issues, either small or large, so they may be resolved in a timely fashion. Complaints may be communicated either verbally during a course or upon its conclusion through the Course Evaluation Form.
