Ranked Among the Nation's Best Again and Again
For 26 years, MossRehab has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation's best rehabilitation facilities. In 2019, MossRehab ranked among the top 10 rehabilitation providers in the nation for the 10th consecutive year and remained top ranked in Pennsylvania.
Why are we considered among the best?
Patient Success: The functional improvements gained by MossRehab patients exceed both national and regional averages. As a result, we discharge a greater number of patients to home and community settings. Learn more.
Higher Patient Satisfaction: More MossRehab patients are satisfied with their care (86 percent gave us the highest ratings in 2017) than the average (79 percent) at other rehab facilities across the nation.
Advanced Rehabilitation Robotics: We pioneer the use of robotics in rehabilitative therapy, offering more advanced robotics for patients than any other rehabilitation provider in the country. We have been the first in the U.S. to offer several revolutionary robotic devices, such as the Andago assisted walking support, the Amadeo EMG® from the Tyromotion collection, and the Armeo®Therapy (Spring and Power) for hand and arm rehabilitation. In addition, we were among the first in the U.S. to offer SafeGait, a ceiling-mounted, dynamic support system to prevent falls during locomotor training. MossRehab is leading the way with the treatments and therapies of the future. Learn more.
Research: MossRehab is home to the Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute (MRRI), internationally recognized for its collaborative neurorehabilitation research that advances theoretical knowledge and improves patient care by furthering the scientific bases for assessment and treatment. MRRI utilizes innovative technology in research, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation, virtual reality, and robotics. Learn more.
Professional Education and Training: MossRehab celebrated 50 years in education in 2017 with a reunion of the alumni of the Temple/MossRehab Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program. Whether it is feeding the pipeline of new rehabilitation clinicians and researchers with important long-term education and training programs or the extensive list of continuing education conferences for rehabilitation specialists, MossRehab staff members relentlessly share their knowledge with the rehabilitation community. We are teaching the leaders of the future. Learn more.
Community Involvement: Our commitment to rehabilitation and people who have disabilities in the community does not stop within our walls. We offer and sponsor a large number of programs and events in support of our community. Some examples:
