MossRehab, the renowned 121-year-old physical and cognitive rehabilitation hospital, has again been named by U.S. News & World Report as a Top Ten rehabilitation facility in the country, ranking 9th, and is again the top ranked rehab facility in Pennsylvania for diagnoses including spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, and traumatic brain injury. This is the twenty-eighth time MossRehab has made the list.

In the past, U.S. News has relied solely on expert opinion for its rankings. But this year, according to U.S. News, its new “Best Hospitals” methodology incorporates objective measures into the calculation while (at least temporarily) continuing to rely partially on expert opinion. The new rankings focus on what U.S. News views as “high acuity” rehabilitation care, concentrated on traumatic brain injury (TBI), traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI), and stroke. 

Specifically, the new methodology breaks down as follows:

*Designation as a National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research Model System for SCI, TBI or Burns (2%)
