Philadelphia Magazine recently spoke with Laurel Buxbaum, director of the Cognition and Action Laboratory at the Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute (MRRI), to discuss how her research could help cure phantom limb pain in individuals with amputations. The pilot study at MossRehab utilizes virtual reality technology to help rewire the amputee's brains to alleviates the symptoms of PLP.
