MossRehab's All About Art event is aimed at furthering an appreciation of the remarkable abilities of people with physical disabilities. It is a showcase for artists with disabilities to express their vision and voice and be recognized for their talent in a competitive, juried show. Artists set their own prices and retain 80 percent of their sales.
The show is open to artists with physical, cognitive, visual and hearing disabilities. Eligible media include works on paper, works on canvas or board, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, photography and fine crafts.
The most recent show kicked off with a Patron's Preview Party honoring State Senator Christine M. Tartaglione on April 12, 2018. The show ran through May 30, 2018. All activities took place at MossRehab's Main Campus in Elkins Park, Pa. The exhibit is free and open to the public. All artwork on display at the hospital is for sale in an online store and at the hospital.

In 2018, All About Art was pleased to honor State Senator Christine M. Tartaglione.
“I am flattered and honored that MossRehab has invited me to participate in the celebration of its eye-opening and innovative All About Art program,” Senator Tartaglione said. “Now four decades old, the annual exhibition was ahead of its time in bringing well-deserved attention to the creative contributions of people who live with disabilities. Although they face profound daily challenges, these artists have channeled their vast talents and unrelenting spirit to beautify the world.”
In 1994, Senator Tartaglione became only the fifth woman in state history to win election to the Pennsylvania State Senate. In 2010, she became the first woman elected to Senate Democratic Leadership when she was chosen Caucus Secretary. Now in her sixth term, she is Chair of the Philadelphia Delegation in the Senate and serves as Democratic Chair of the Labor and Industry Committee. She also sits on the Appropriations, Banking and Insurance, Intergovernmental Operations, Law and Justice, Legislative Budget and Finance, Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness, and Democratic Policy committees in the Senate. Senator Tartaglione authored Pennsylvania’s landmark 2006 minimum wage increase and was instrumental in the establishment of the PA State Office for People with Disabilities.
Proceeds from this year’s All About Art at MossRehab exhibit will support updating, marketing, and sustaining the All About Art Audio Tour, a rich, descriptive audio and visual experience highlighting works created by professional artists who have physical disabilities. With words, sounds and images, our patients, visitors and staff can engage with stories full of emotion and character that they take with them long after leaving MossRehab.
MossRehab was proud to work with the Bold Beauty Project, a visual arts initiative that showcases 20 women in a city living with various disabilities. The goal is to offer the audience a glimpse into the lives of these women and recognize their beauty, strength and sensuality — their BOLDNESS. The project will display images of women in Philadelphia during the show.
Originally known as the "International Exhibition by Artists with Physical Disabilities," the All About Art event was inaugurated by MossRehab in 1979. After a few years off, the exhibit returned in 2005 and has become an annual event. It is believed to be the first east coast exhibition of its kind. The Art Committee annually requests prominent members of Philadelphia's art scene to jury the show and recognize exceptional artwork through awards.
