Aphasia Research PDF Print E-mail

Survivors of stroke and traumatic brain injury often live with significant disability one of which may be aphasia.

MossRehab Aphasia Center provides opportunities for individuals to participate in one or more research studies at Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute. Research scientists at the institute have been studying aphasia for more than 20 years and their findings form the basis for new treatment approaches at MossRehab.

Research is creating exciting new ways for people with aphasia to get the intensive practice they need to improve their communication skills. Computers equipped with touch-screen technology, audio prompting, audio-visual feedback and voice recognition are helping people with aphasia make important progress toward rebuilding their language skills.

For more information on aphasia research activities at Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute, call 215-456-9655.
