We provide people who have had a stroke, whether severe or mild, with a complete range of rehabilitation services.

MossRehab Stroke Center provides care for more people with stroke than any other facility in Philadelphia. Our comprehensive treatment addresses severe disorders resulting from stroke, as well as lesser complications. Care is provided in a variety of settings, depending on individual needs:

  • Inpatient care. For patients who need intensive rehabilitation care, treatment takes place in our 197-bed, technically advanced facility.
  • Day hospital. Patients who no longer need 24-hour nursing care, yet can benefit from intensive rehabilitation therapy, are appropriate candidates for the day hospital at MossRehab. Full-day sessions (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) allow our patients to return to their homes on evenings and weekends. Transportation is available.
  • Outpatient care. Individuals who no longer require 24-hour nursing care but still need specialized, coordinated therapy services may benefit from a comprehensive outpatient program provided two to five days a week, three hours per day. Outpatient therapy is available at our network of outpatient centers located throughout the Delaware Valley.
  • MossRehab Subacute Program. The program is designed for those people who are not ready to return home following stroke, whose conditions are not critical enough to need a hospital stay, but who would benefit from rehabilitation therapy and other skilled nursing services not typically provided in a nursing home.

Special programs for people with chronic problems following stroke include:

MossRehab Aphasia Center for those who have experienced loss of language and communication skills following stroke.

MossTalkWords, a software program that helps people with aphasia and other language disorders to rebuild their communication skills.

Moss Muscle Builders, an exercise and fitness program geared for people with physical disabilities.
