First Swing Program
On April 18, 2013, the National Amputee Golf Association held its annual First Swing/Learn to Golf Clinic & Golf Workshop for Individuals with Physical Disabilities and their Families.
Sponsored by MossRehab, the event took place between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Burholme Golf Center, 401 West Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa., 19111; 215-742-2380. Cost was $5, which included lunch and equipment. Lou Namm, a life member of the Eastern Amputee Golf Association, was the instructor.
Golfing is a fun way to improve muscle control, coordination and flexibility.
